The TKV Speed Measuring Process

This is an extremely accurate method for measuring the speed of vehicles by means of SENSOR LINE's fiber optic axle sensors utilizing a tricky process for cross-correlation of the output signals. Using cross-correlation for such purposes normally requires much effort, but the TKV process can be implemented on relatively cheap micro-controllers (or PC's). It is therefore well-suited not only for purposes of e.g. speed enforcement but also to be integrated into larger traffic data acquisition systems in order to enhance their accuracy and reliability. |
